School Information

Hilltop is a designated 2-19 special day school for pupils with severe and profound and/or multiple learning difficulties.  We are located across two sites.  Our EYFS, primary and Key Stage 3 provision is at our Maltby site and our Key Stage 4 and Post are co-located at our Forest View site with Kelford School.

We aim to meet the specific needs of all our students by offering a range of personalised learning approaches and pathways as outlined in the Curriculum section of this website.

Hilltop School is a warm, lively, sensory rich learning environment and staff are highly trained in supporting the physical, medical, social emotional and educational needs of all our students.

We have strong links with therapeutic agencies such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Health, Sensory Occupational Health, Speech and Language Therapy, The Visual Impairment Service, The Hearing Impaired Service as well as Early Help and Social Care.

The school benefits greatly from the input offered by the Family Support team who work closely with our parents, carers and families.

The school also benefits from having a Hydrotherapy Swimming Pool, several Sensory Rooms, a designated Forest School Area as well as two full size Trampolines for Rebound Therapy Sessions.

All prospective students and their families are welcome to come and see the school. Open evenings take place once a term throughout the school year.

For all enquiries regarding a tour of the school please contact the school reception on 01709 813386
